It is interesting Al Khan was very heavily supported on his fibresand debut last time out, into favouritism in a very hot five furlong sprint. It was asking a lot of him to drop back two furlongs in trip on a new surface, he duly missed the break but he did run on well late on and finished back on the bridle, eased close home. Connections have fiddled with this horses' trip a bit, clearly he doesn't find winning that easy but shows plenty at home and connections are searching for the key to him. His sire's progeny have a 14% strike rate at this track, and his dam posted a couple of decent placed efforts at this course. Visual evidence suggests he is the type who might thrive here if able to get into a better rhythm over seven furlongs, and he is taken to show his is an improved horse up against some more exposed performers today.
