9.20 Kempton Take A Note 1pt each-way AND 2pts win @ 9/1 (Bet 365, Paddy Power, guaranteed, 8/1 generally guaranteed)
Ran well at Brighton on reappearance although it didn't seem like he handled the track. He also looked a bit ring rusty and may come on for that first run even though his trainer tends to have them ready first time. As a son of Singspiel, I think the step up to a mile will really suit him, he is a big horse and I feel that anything he done last year was probably a bonus. This doesn't look like that strong a contest and I expected Take A Note to be priced around 6/1. He looks a big too big and we'll play to save most of our stake should he run a place.

Afternoon Bets:
Two selections for this afternoon, evening bets may follow, details released before 5.30pm.
1pt each-way double on this afternoon's selections - 11/1 and 5/2 generally guaranteed.
2.00 Carlisle Boogangoo 1pt each-way AND 1pt win @ 12/1 (VC Bet, guaranteed, 11/1 generally guaranteed)
This does not look a good maiden and the mid morning money from shrewd connections really catches my eye. It follows their usual betting patterns when they fancy one and they aren't usually far off the mark. The favourite doesn't look a hearty battler and the next two in the market look average and no more than that. A feature of Keith Dalglish's two year olds this season is that they are ready to win first time out - three of his four winning juveniles in 2013 have scored on debut - and the selection wouldn't have to be anything special to land the odds at a double figure price here.
2.30 Carlisle Stoney Quine 5pts win @ 11/4 (VC Bet, guaranteed, 5/2 generally guaranteed)
Another for Keith Dalglish and Middleham Park Racing. Stoney Quine showed loads of speed over six furlongs on her second start at Hamilton, racing very wide and eventually finishing second having displayed a really high cruising speed. She steps back to five furlongs this afternoon at a track which favours front runners, and she has come up trumps with stall 1. I think the jockey will be instructed to keep things simple and make all here, and I think she represents good value at 11/4.
